Building Bridges

Building bridges was the challenge of the day! They started the day with some bridges that they thought would work but couldn't hold up to a live load. After learning about types of bridges, students built some that could hold lots of weight. Check out the fun video of the challenge.

3rd Grade Sleuths - Mystery Solved!

Our third graders really stepped up as detectives today! Someone stole the OREOs I wanted use in a lesson today! Students examined the scene, collected and analyzed evidence, interviewed suspects and solved the crime. Check out the deductive thinking and problem-solving from class. Enjoy the video!

Learning at new Heights! Skyscrapers!

Courtroom Drama

Fifth graders put their acting skills to action and experienced the events that might happen in a courtroom. They participated in scripted trials and definitely brought drama to the courtroom! Check out the 4 minute video.

5th Grade Collaborative Problem-Solving!

5th graders had to work together using clues and communication to correctly create a perfect example of Sierpinski's Triangle - a mathematical design of repeating triangles. Their discussions and teamwork is fun to observe! Check out the short video for a peek in the classroom.

Uses for a Straw A-Z

Fifth graders attempted to think "outside the box" to come up with new and unusual uses for straws. They then had to demonstrate the new use in less than 10 seconds in a silent film. . . Check it out!
